Editorial policy

A page should say what can be checked, and name the source when a figure or a statute is used. Where a number is not on the page, the copy stays qualitative. Interpretation, when it is offered, is written as a reading of those facts, not as a forecast.

Markets are described as they are organised: by city, by use and by the rule that applies. Coverage of a place is not an endorsement of that place.

Where a page shows a “last reviewed” date, that date is the last time the text was read against its sources. It is not a claim that the market stopped changing on that day.

Paid coverage is not part of the current rules. No payment for a country, a building or a company is identified on the site. If a commercial relationship ever applies to a page, it will be labelled on that page and recorded under Conflicts and disclosures.
