Real Estate
Malaysian property starts with the state and the title
Strata and landed, federal territory and state, a home and a residency programme: four distinctions before a building.

Property note. What can be held, and in what kind of building. Cities are read on the country hub.
The longer country file is the Malaysia market hub.
The asset is the title, and the title is a state file. Strata in the city core and landed houses further out are different objects. A serviced apartment on a commercial title is not a residential condominium. Freehold and leasehold both trade. Individual strata title is not always issued when a unit is first sold.
A foreign purchase needs state consent. It is not a residency pass. MM2H is a separate federal file. Thresholds move and are not copied here. The statute, and what changes by city, is on the country hub.
